Amazing Outdoors

We hired Amazing Outdoors because they told us they would build a deck on our house exactly the way we wanted it to be completed and for a very fair price! Our plan was quite elaborate to include 3 different sections and a built in hot tub platform. Amazing Outdoors response was “no problem” and they even provided helpful suggestions! The work was completed within a month and the the job foreman stopped by several times throughout to make sure we were pleased with the progress. Amazing Outdoors will be the first company we call to remove a window and replace with French doors that lead out to the beautiful deck they built us! Highly recommended!

Do not give this company your money! These are photos are 1 year after signing with them. We are now pursuing a lawsuit. We signed June 26, 2023 for a large pool, patio and pavilion job with Amazing Outdoors. There were so many issues with this project along the way (too long to list here but all documented in texts and emails) from design to permit to pool install until finally April 2024 when Matt began admitting they did not have the workers to complete the job in a timely manner but was trying the best he could. We had several calls/texts/emails from March to June in regards to his visa workers not coming in and not having enough laborers. Our job just sat. Meanwhile our pool became a swamp and one year after signing we weren't even close to done. He was trying to do things like

Stay far away from Matt Simpson and Amazing Outdoors. Hiring this company has been one of the most stressful and costly mistakes I’ve ever made. They performed work without proper permits, then disappeared for weeks at a time without explanation. Communication was almost nonexistent except when they were demanding more money. The project dragged on endlessly. Materials sat outside for so long they warped and became completely unusable, and I had to pay out of pocket to have them hauled away as trash. Instead of taking responsibility, Amazing Outdoors continually pushed excuses and failed to follow through on promises. In March 2024 we contracted with Amazing Outdoors to build a pool and patio. We paid a significant deposit with the guarantee that the work would be completed by August 1. We terminated our contract with AO on October 14 with the project less than half completed. The many times Matt promised workers would arrive and work would be done, then nobody showed up, constitute a breach of contract on his part. The quality of the work is not to a workmanlike standard. I have photos and texts to prove all these statements. We wired them 3 payments in June, July and August. These payments included a deck bridge on which they started work without securing a building permit (which owner Matt Simpson told us he had) and didn't follow the architects' plans: the work they started will have to be redone.

Liar, unethical, and worse than a low-tier business operation — that’s the reality of dealing with Matt Simpson and Amazing Outdoors LLC. I had nearly the same experience as Mary Jewett listed in the previous review here. Matt sells you on getting the projected completed by the Summer but here is what happened with us… In May 2023, after finally convincing my wife, we contracted Matt Simpson of Amazing Outdoors LLC to build a swimming pool and spa at our home. We made significant amount of payments which was half the cost of the total project between May and July 2023. Despite multiple assurances, designs, and promises to start, Matt repeatedly delayed the project, failed to deliver the 3D design as agreed, and did not start any actual construction. Communication became poor and inconsis
