We recently purchased this house and had no prior experience with septic systems. When we tried to add an addition, the county did not approve it because the home was built in the 1940s and did not meet current codes. Jeff was very knowledgeable and upfront with us from the beginning. He took the time to explain the issues, guided us through the process, and helped us understand what needed to be done. His experience and professionalism made a complicated situation much easier to handle. He is also very up to date with current septic design requirements. He was able to design our septic system drain field and obtain county approval within a month. I would definitely refer him to any friends or family who need his services. We are doing a remodel and needed a review of our septic system. Luckily, our designer recommended we contact Jeff for this work. He came out to the house and did a thorough evaluation of our situation. The results of his review were fair, concise and accurate. I enjoyed having him on site and found him to be an contractor that spoke with me an a level that was fair, respectful and honest. A few months later we had a drain field failure and I asked Jeff if he would evaluate our design. He did so free of charge and also recommended three names of quality installers in the area. Jeff is both a consummate professional and a wonderful person. We were looking to build an ADU, and he did a site evaluation for us. We had considered other designers, but he was the only one who uses fixed fees and posts them on his web page. He is very transparent and straightforward, If we had proceeded with a septic system for the ADU, we would have hired him for the design. One of his strong recommendations was that we seriously consider a sewer extension and hook-up, even though that would have cost him the design work.
