I guess we’ll never find out how good their work is because we never got that far. Set an appointment with them at 11:15 today. About an hour exactly on the dot they text me and say hey can I come early. Well I didn’t check my messages until around 11:20 when they were late. At that point I indicated to him that I just got his message and was inquiring whether he was still coming. He then indicated to me that he would come very shortly he was finishing up with a matter. I don’t know what matter he was finishing up since he was supposed to be seeing me at this time slot. But nonetheless he got very curse with me when I asked him why his company policy was that I had to text to confirm with him the appointment when he never relayed that to me when we set the appointment.

Josh and the guys at Backwoods grading went above and beyond when we had a broken water line from the meter to our house. They moved some jobs around to get our job done in a timely manner so that the water company wouldn't shut our water off. All the guys were friendly, polite and easy to work with. When the job was almost finished we discovered that there was a leak on the city side of the meter. Austin had some friends that worked for the city he made a phone call and got the city side of the meter fixed that day! If we used another company we might have been another couple of days without water! When finishing up the job I asked one of the fellows to leave the door to the crawl space open and the light on, because I had to go in there later and change an air conditioning filter he said

Josh and his crew replaced failed culvert and damaged driveway after Helene. It was very entertaining from my 2nd story front porch on a snowy day. He built retaining walls on both ends. My yard feels safe again. Thank you Josh for a job well done. Grade A+ for Backwoods Grading!

Josh and crew did a beautiful job with our large project. Always responsive and great communication over several months. Involved replacement of major retaining walls along our yard and driveway with large boulders and creation of new patio.

I can’t say enough great things about this company. 2 years ago i was in a real bind as my land was moving and crushing my septic tank. They came in immediately, moving other jobs to make it work, and remedied the situation. About a month ago I noticed that area of my land that we thought we fixed was still moving which meant I needed a much bigger job done and an even greater investigation process to find the solution.
