I reached out to Ball Team Construction to request a bid for a bathroom remodel project at our apartment community. I provided all the necessary details and explained up front that we are required to obtain three bids. Once I mentioned that one of the bids was coming from a flooring company (in addition to another general contractor), Ball Team declined to participate and would not provide a bid. This was frustrating as it felt like my time was wasted providing information only for them to withdraw based on who else we were getting bids from. Had an encounter with man in his mid thirties are so with dark curlie hair driving a Ball construction truck. I was putting groceries into my car at the store. The parking lot is covered in ice and snow. Some how my cart touched the truck. He found it necessary to roll down his window and use vulgarity towards me and the special needs man I was assisting. I had no idea that my cart had touched his truck and had intention of damaging it. I apologized immediately. There was not a mark on the company truck that he referred to as his “own”. I assume he was an employee and not an owner but I don’t know either way. It was a very disrespectful situation and could have been handled with grace, but instead he was very angry.
