Review written 9/23/2025. Doors don’t unlock until 6:30am in the mornings for the 7:06am morning train to Chicago. I find that way too late to open the doors. Currently sitting outside with my pepper spray and trying not to go to the bathroom in my pants. Maybe try opening at 6am so people who get there early can get situated and have time to go to bathroom and eat breakfast etc before boarding train. Also they have the TVs on in the station when it’s not even open yet and no one is in there. Totally wasteful. Thanks for contributing to climate change! Also you need more benches where people wait to board the trains Giving a few stars though bc station is generally pretty clean

"Welcome to Normal!" - Although Amtrak is late more often than you'd like, I won't blame that on the station. This location is excellent, and pairs well with the Hyatt Hotel right across the street if you're coming in or leaving by train and need a place to stay. This is a combined bus hub, rail depot, and parking garage. I only used the train and parking garage. All were in good shape and clean. Modern and in good shape. Tesla charging in the garage, too.

I have been using Amtrak for several years for family vacations with my small children and love the convenience this lacation affords. With a parking deck, bus service and cabs, this station is full service. Several hotels on the same block and access to several restaurants and Subway inside the station.

So helpful and clean! There are charging stations, and they announce when the trains are arriving!
