We had the pleasure of working with Chris Gustard, a talented landscape architect, on several projects over the past year, and our experience with him was nothing short of exceptional. Our first engagement with Chris was for the design of a drainage system for our backyard. He not only created a thoughtful and effective design but also assisted with managing the entire project. Chris negotiated the type of equipment and the physical layout of the system, and he even helped us interview installation vendors. With his guidance, we ultimately selected Second Nature Landscaping, and the project was a tremendous success. We had tried for years to create the type of yard we always wanted. We finally realized that we needed help. Not only did Chris listen and hear what we wanted but shared our vision. The yard is exactly what we were looking for and so glad to know he helps us maintain it. Best decision we made.

I first saw Chris's work when he transformed the back yard of a friend. It was a major transformation and turned out beautifully, from conception to execution, which involved work by another contractor that Chris coordinated. I hesitated to ask him about my project, which was much less ambitious. When I did, though, he listened to what I wanted, which was more like a strategic series of improvements than a redesign, and offered me an itemized menu of creative, high-impact ideas. In the end, I asked him to realize almost all of the items in the plan, which included plantings and trimming, creating beds and berms, clearing neglected pavement and putting down weed barriers and mulch. Chris was absolutely wonderful from the inquiry to the proposal to the implementation and even with the follow up after the job was completed. He did an absolutely fabulous job and our yard is the talk of the neighborhood! I would recommend him to anyone! We continue to be thrilled with the final product!

We contacted bluegreenLA for a project involving landscape around our house that had gotten overgrown. This included the front, back, and a side bed as well as an area near the mailbox. Chris responded promptly to all our communication and kept us updated on all aspects of the project. The project expanded to include tree trimming with log splitting for future firewood. Chris was very knowledgeable about all the aspects of our project and provided some great suggestions. Our landscape looks great and we love the new and transplanted plants that Chris suggested as well as the new mulch. We are very satisfied with the job bluegreenLA did.
