Brush and Barrel

It was our first time here and we enjoyed every second of it! Lisa was wonderful and truly made this experience fun. We will be coming back for future events! :)

Over the holidays I attended a private event at Brush and Barrel. It was amazingly fun, I am not very artistic and was worried my project would be a disaster, but the host, Lisa, was really helpful! Sho offered suggestions before we began and helped me fix a mistake on my painting when I inevitably messed it up! She was upbeat, laid back, and really fun. This place is a gem for family bonding!

The staff (not the owner) were very kind and welcoming. I attended a pottery painting event and was initially excited about the experience. However, I was disappointed that the website did not specify the type of paint being used. We only discovered it was acrylic paint after paying and entering the event space. While I appreciated the vibrancy of the acrylics, it would have been helpful to have this information available on the website when researching the event. Additionally, there was confusion regarding the timeline for retrieving our ceramics. We were initially told it would take a few hours, but just before leaving, we were informed it would take a few weeks. Had just a magnificent experience and time! Followed step-by-step instructions to create a cute painting. There were helpers if you needed it, but I loved how hands-on everything was and how kind the staff was. I 100% will be going back.
