Great service, punctual, professional and very much affordable. The service personal was extremely professional and courtious. He took the time to walk us through everything with my chimney/ liner / insulation, how to's and things to look out for. He was honest with us, and let us know how to harness maximum efficiency of wood stove insert. They have gone above and beyond in their call. I have hired many chimney sweep services before and I find these folks honest. I highly recommend them.

10/2020 We were so happy with the first services that we had Canterbury back for additional work (Fireplace door gasket installation and chimney / wood stove insert cleaning). Chimney cleaning was the best service in 10 years. Joe was the first sweep to completely remove and clean the catalytic. Others have vacuumed the front but have never taken the time to fully clean the unit. Joe takes real care to keep the area clean by laying down plastic / covers and venting the vacuum exhaust outside. Canterbury is a small company so it can take a bit of time to get worked into their schedule but their service is well worth planning ahead. 8/2020 Joe gets top marks for his timely and professional service call. We had a new concrete cap installed and we'll be doing additional work later this

I don't review companies good or bad, I figure there are enough people putting their opinions about just about everything online, with that being said, I'm breaking that guideline. Joe from Canterbury Sweeps is wonderful. The entire experience was seamless, he was on time, explained professionally yet in an easy to understand way what needed to happen to our fireplace and chimney. I felt very comfortable that I was not getting over quoted for the work that needed to be done. Joe explained the three issues and made sure to let me know that not all needed immediate attention, but one issue was a safety concern that he strongly recommended be taken care of. Making appointments online was very easy and on the one day he was supposed to come out it was pouring rain, Joe called a few hours befor

I called Canterbury last Thursday to schedule a chimney cleaning and inspection. I was happy to get an appointment for the following Tuesday morning, 8am. However, Joe never showed up. I called the office at 8:30 am, and left a message asking what had happened. By 4pm, I still hadn't heard from them! So I called the office back. They never noted the appointment, and weren't very apologetic about it either. Very frustrating! I'll look around for other companies instead.

We live in Mount Airy and have used Canterbury for about 20 years. Have never had a problem. Excellent service always especially from Joe and Michelle. They even came quickly for a mini crisis last winter. Would highly recommend!
