Went to Carls equipment Patchogue,to replace a broken spring for my Ariens snowblower. I brought the broken spring with me to match up. The front desk guy said they didn’t have Ariens parts but he’d bend my old spring. Charged me $10 to do what I could’ve done myself, put the $10 in his pocket, & the spring broke trying to install it again. I went to Power Equipment Plus & paid less for a brand new spring. I checked with 2 other shops who said they never would’ve charged anything to just bend a hook on the end of a spring. Never again , I felt ripped off

I’m just going to say don’t go to Carl’s. They love you while buying a product but don’t want to know you if you have issues. And the manager of the Patchogue location is the most disrespectful person I have ever done business with.

Have purchased 3 mowers from Carl’s equipment since 2006. Very disappointed in their customer service, purchased a Toro mower in July 2023. Paid $800 for the mower thinking no worries, then another $305.00 in repairs. Have had numerous problems with it as well as performance issues. They will tell you everything that is wrong is because it’s the end users fault. Once your 90 day warranty is up it’s on your dime they simply do not care. Thought they would be more customer service oriented The point is you might as well just purchase your machine from one of the big box stores and keep your finger crossed!

Horrible.... went in with snowblower to get repaired today ...were extremely rude and yelled at me for bringing it in “not till September.” Then a lady behind counter started yelling some incomprehensible words. Last time I will be going there. Extremely rude and just nasty for no reason. Just walked in the door. Visit on June 4th, 2018.

Always a pleasure to see the guys at the shop. Thank you Sal and the guys for all your help and knowledge whenever i had a question and needed help.All my power equipment and lawnmowers are quality machines. Thank you Carl's.
