Carolina Conservation

After our family moved into a circa 1840 house in Walterboro, SC in the 1970s, an elderly neighbor gifted us with an original photograph of the house that had been given to her parents around the turn of the century. For the first time, we were seeing what our two-story home looked like nearly a century earlier when it existed as a one-story dwelling! With our family in the house for almost half a century now, the photograph is truly a family treasure! However, it was not in great shape and we wanted to see what could be done to clean it, and also to help preserve it. Carolina Conservation was recommended to me to clean a needlepoint my grandmother made about 50 years ago. This piece was very dirty after years not framed behind glass with my grandparents that were heavy smokers. It also spent years in basement storage. This piece had a lot of sentimental value to me, so I was very concerned with how it would be cleaned. I was so grateful for the time Angel took to meet with me and the care everyone took with this piece. It turned out beautifully. It almost looks new!! I know this will be around for my grandkids.

Carolina Conservation did a fantastic job on three of our historical artifacts now on display. Their staff is an amazing group of people that take pride in their work and are happy to help answer any questions. We will definitely be working with them on future projects!

The Carolina Conservation team is the best! We had a very serious house fire and lost a great deal. Of course, our art carried so many memories. Carolina Conservation was able to restore every single piece of art we gave them. They stayed in touch and were so very kind. Upon completion of the rebuild, they delivered all of the art back to the house in absolutely perfect condition and I was brought to tears.
