Someone else commented that the salespeople at Orleans Carpet didn’t seem interested in making the sale. That was our experience. We asked questions but never heard back from the guy. He added these $100 charges - “travel” and “freight” - but really couldn’t explain them. Gotta be kidding me. You pay a fortune for company installation - easily $400/hr - then company tries to squeeze a few hundred more, just because they can. No thank you. We drove to harwich where we found the EXACT carpet for $900 less, installed.

Just use one of the big box stores. Unprofessional from start to hopefully finish. The sales person acted like he was doing ME a favor by selling me overpriced carpet for 1 room and a closet. Now the installers are here and they've worked about 10 min and now they are taking a break. Look, we're in the trades. I get it. But, lets get the carpet installed and get this over with. Besides giving my husband attitude they are not go getters either. UGH!

The folks selling you the carpet are very nice. Then comes the installation part. What a s-show. 3 different times said they were coming. When finally got started, said they'd finish tomorrow. 3 days later they called and asked if they could finish 2 days later. I spoke to the "head" of the install Dept, I think they actually own the company..2 brothers. Both very good at blowing you off. Ultimately, they dirtied up the newly painted wall, chipped the paint on the spindles on the stairs. When I spoke with the man they said they'd get right back to me.2 follow up calls later, no return call. Now, my 83 year old client has to pay the painter to come back and take care of it all at her expense. Totally unprofessional, no accountability, your left with what ever they want to do, or not. Beware

Walk in, look at samples, select one, ask how much and how long will it take? The very nice man says "X dollars and 2 or 3 days". Agree, get it all written up, and then the very nice man says "oh, actually it's X+100 dollars". Grumble, grumble. The very nice man then says "oh, ok, X+50". (This is when we should have walked out but we had company coming and 2-or-3 days sounded pretty good.) Then 3 days go by. Call. No return call. Call next day. There were delays. etc etc etc for two weeks. Then call and leave message: "we're cancelling". Boom, order is ready that day. The binding is poor quality though. So, that's why "one star".
