Centex Pump & Supply, Inc. & Central Texas Drilling

Centex Drilling installed my original well 6 years ago and I was very satisfied with their services and they had/have a friendly staff. Fast forward unfortunately to last week when I finally had to bite the bullet to get the broken flow meter replaced. I held off for over a year and then another few months when I called to check on the part price and they quoted $475. Last week I called to request the replacement and even though there was no diagnose needed, no troubleshooting they proceeded to charge their $175 standard service charge. To add insult to injury the $475 part was now $552 and when challenged I was told the supplier had raised prices in May so they were just passing this increase on. The replacement took 5 minutes! I am currently using Centez Pump & Supply to drill my second well. The first well was drilled at my commercial property, the team at CenTex was very professional, and did a great job, through and through. I am pleased to be working with them again on my homestead. Their service team is excellent as well, I've gone through a couple of hard freezes, and needed some minor repairs done, and they were quick and thorough with my needed repairs. Highly recommended!!

I agree with the negative comments. I moved into a house in 2020 that was built in 2018 in which Centex installed the well for irrigation. In 2021 (just 3 years after initial install), the pump/motor needed to be replaced. It then needed to be replaced in 2022. At first, they said it wasn't covered under warranty b/c it was due to freeze damage. I said this was untrue that it did not freeze. After back and forth, they agreed and said it was not due to freeze and replaced it. Guess what just happened, it broke again. This time they said it was due to freeze. But they took it out and tested the motor and said it was fine so put it back in. I wasn't home at the time, but when I get home I turn on my irrigation and it fails to hold pressure. $2,000 later and it still doesn't work and now thei

UPDATE : The owners response to my review is quite misleading. I am not complaining that they are busy and have a 3 week wait time. Shame on you for stretching it to try and fit your narrative. The complaint is and was the lack of customer service, the inability and unwillingness of your company to help with other reasonable solutions, etc. Your standard “form” response is what i would expect from you. Your response is meant to mislead other consumers. This is another reason people should never do business with you. I would NOT recommend Centex to anyone. The pump and motor Centex installed has failed after only 2 years. Partially due to the depth they placed it at. Front office even refused to speak with another well company that has been trying to help me out since I cant wait 3 weeks

I’m so disappointed to have to write this review. I had Aron and his company drill a well for me about 5 years ago. I also referred family members to him as well. The average life of a pump is about 7-10 years. Well, after almost 5 years, my pump burnt out. I contacted them to come in for a repair and they stated it’s the pump and has to be replaced. When I asked about the life span, the tech was very dismissive. So, I decide to get a second opinion, while the second company also agreed that the pump has to be replaced, the states that the initial driller, used the wrong size pump and motor. Therefore causing the pump to have to work at a higher RPM and burning out faster. I reached out to them allowing them to right the wrong. However, they did not respond.
