Sold a double wide and the buyer had bad luck with a few other moving companies. It had been sitting on our property to long and it held up our business from opening while sitting there. So I finally started making some calls for him and called Mr. Chavis one afternoon and he was very responsive and told me he could be on it that week. Then I called the buyer to tell him to give Chavis a call he did. They met that afternoon and it all goes well after that. They may not be the cheapest company but you do get the service you pay for top quality employees and equipment. As the seller I found Chavis Transport and I may be a difficult person to deal with as Mr Chavis came to find out but I was very pleased with the services performed and would recommend this company to anyone

I don’t have a contract with them they came on private property drag a trailer next door and turn around and dig up my $400 rock that’s in my driveway call &try to come up agreement to get my rock back his son denied the fact they been on my property I told him I was calling the police he told me to do what I needed to do I did so u don’t come on people property and use their materials u can’t be that cheap u should of came out inspect the property first & whatever u didn’t have u should get with the customer you’re reviews speak for itself and you're business owner own up to your mistakes & make things right

Wish I could give negative stars. This man destroyed our home so bad that it couldn't be moved just 3 miles down the road. He didn't even make it 30 feet before he almost flipped it over then dropped it to the ground causing damage to the frame an alot more inside to the ceiling, windows, doors, sheetrock, and more. Then he left it wide open in 2 separate pieces for months for mold to grow in it. He stopped answering calls and took off with our 5000 deposit. Our insurance adjuster considered it a total loss. This is our home that were living in and still making payments on. LLR did nothing, our insurance did nothing since it was his fault. He lied and told use he had a huge insurance policy to cover any damages that could possibly happen. He talked all big and we believed him which was our

Chavis took my money and tore my house up in the process, he is a cook and Berkeley county government issues him permits cause he has a friend there so he can get whatever permits he wants. I even went to labor, licensing and regulations board, the manufacturing housing board asked the case be dismissed. And it was. He has friends. There too. Call Mr Ravenel or anybody else. Jimmy Chavis will steal, rip, or destroy your home. Read the Google reviews, he has hundreds of reviews. None good.

Chavis moved a mobile home across the road from me and has left insulation and siding all over the place. Threw siding on both sides of our road. When I contacted them, I was cussed out and told to clean it up myself. I will be contacting Berkeley County code enforcement and the EPA in the am. All they had to do was respond in a professional way. That seemed WAAAAAY beyond what they could do. I'd never recommend Chavis.
