CJS Heating and Air

CJS sent out a technician by the name of Matthew Rice-Hartzell to do a one-year inspection on our Bryant HVAC system. Our system had actually been installed in late 2024, and due to various circumstances, primarily due to the extreme cold temperatures causing loss of heat of so many people. It took a few cancellations and such before CJS was able to do this inspection for our fairly new system. Bassett was the company who installed the unit, and they were apparently bought out from CJS. I have to say there was a vast difference in the service we were provided yesterday when Matthew arrived at our home. He was very friendly, courteous, professional and open to listening to the concerns we had with the original company installed our system. He listened, took pictures of the issue we had, and

I had another company come out and the tech said the mother board was bad! He didn't even bring any tools or testers to check furnace.I found that rather odd so I called CJS for a second opinion.Gage was very knowledgeable and polite.He came in the house with his bag of tools.He tested everything.The mother board was not bad it was the gas valve.Even thou it cost me around a thousand dollars if the other guy would have replaced the board the furnace would still be down.and a board costs thousands of dollars.So kudos to Gage and CJS,thank y'all!!!!

Dominic Bodine did a great job today. He was able to determine the issue that we had with the air handler and set up the process to fix it when other technicians were not able to do it about a year ago. He did a good job explaining everything about the problem and the solution. Also, he had a very good customer service approach during the time he was here. I am very happy with his efforts today.

CJS is the most underrated company ever they have been out to my house more than 60 times in the past 2 years to work on my $28,000 dollar Mini split unit that never works and always breaks down. The techs are very nice but never come prepared for the job I’ve had to wait 4 months for a part that was supposed be ordered. It came in then they had to reschedule because they didn’t have the right parts on hand. Just waited 2 more months to get this supposed part they forgot To be told yet again, they ordered the wrong part now they want to reschedule again. This company is so ridiculous if it wasn’t for the warranty on this unit, I would’ve have gone somewhere else by now.

I have been with Drake/Bassett/CJS Heating And Air for awhile now. They're technicians have been good to me all around, I don't think ever a bad one. That being said, I am a Sudden Service member with them and had a tune up for my furnace scheduled for October 29, 2025, perfect timing for me! Yet, I get put all the way to January 26, 2026 for reasons unknown. I'm wondering where my $16.50 a month is worth it when I feel that half of the cold season will be over. Not happy about the reschedule (long story short), and I believe this has happened twice to me now (I just know specific dates this time)!
