Clearly Pond Contractors

This person completely destroyed my back yard and then ghosted me. Just fyi, his tactic is to low ball an estimate to get the job, then keep asking for more and more money. When my husband said that's all we have budgeted because thats the estimate he gave, the attitude changed. He asked for money for pipe which I saw very little of. Apparently we are supposed to have a pump out there someplace but I doubt it. We had one dirt delivery that was a fiasco and I never saw rock or concrete delivered. Another type of clay was discussed but never happened either. After excuses for no work being done for many days( not including weather) we ended up with a torn up back yard with broken tools and trash left everywhere and multiple dead trees. To be honest I didn't know how Chris was going to pull off this job because of the massive scale of the project and his reasonably priced bid. Not only did he save the foundation of our house but he made the koi pond retention pool the centerpiece of our property so much so that our realtor had to go back and add $45,000 to our asking price . Thank you Chris for being honest hard-working and punctual. When Chris says he will be there. The guy is there 100% of the time .

This was the worst contractor I have ever had the experience of working with. We hired Chris with the promise that he would build a beautiful Koi Pond in our backyard. Everything he did was extremely poor quality so poor I had to terminate his contract half way thru the construction and have the mess he created demolished by a third party. He was non responsive to my repeated requests to him to do the job properly. He cut corners on materials and the workmanship was beyond terrible. To make things worse we paid him $7500 up front and although we offered to pay him for all the materials that he purchased if he delivered them and showed us proof of purchase receipts he never delivered the materials and he refused to refund any of our money. Horrible experience on the remodeling of my existing pond. So bad, I had 3 contractors that looked at the "finished and inoperable" result; they were shocked and in disbelief of the shabby and sloppy work. None wanted to even try to fix this mess and I ended up having to do a total demo. I could go into details but it's unnecessary; suffice to say I'm out 5 figures plus, tons of frustration, all my koi are dead and have no pond. No matter the excuses the contractor may try to use or where to place blame, the bottom line is what I've stated. I believe Chris "tried" but he just couldn't do a quality job for us. I could post photos but it won't change anything, buyer beware. Verify his liability insurance. I found out the hard way he misrepresented this, it was lapsed.

CPC was prompt and professional and offered us a fair estimate for our new pond instillation. We stated that we needed a company that could handle every aspect of the build process and they exceeded our expectations!! We are incredibly happy with the professionalism and quality work that we recommended them to our neighbors. Thank you Clearly Pond Contractors for everything!!
