Closets by Design - Rochester

It was a rocky start with some communication issues but things turned around and I am beyond thrilled with the end results. Had some confusion on the design which was just a miss on both sides until things were in place unfortunately. Very pleased they reviewed things and agreed to redo the section impacted and took new measurements and it is just perfect and how it was envisioned. Had some issues with some of the parts and again, things were resolved. Delayed things, but that can happen and was no fault of anyone. My installer was outstanding and very courteous and involved me along the way asking various questions about minor changes which I very much appreciated. In the end, I am extremely happy with how things turned out and would use them again and recommend them to others.

Closets by Design provided an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the initial designer consultation to the service and installers, everyone involved was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. It was refreshing to work with such well-trained professionals who clearly take pride in their work. The installers were especially respectful of my home..wearing booties over their shoes or removing them entirely before entering which truly speaks to their attention to detail and care for the customer. Overall, the service was seamless, professional, and exceeded expectations. Highly recommended.

We had a great experience with Closets By Design and highly recommend them. From our designer Wren, to the phone staff for pre-installation scheduling, to the installers, everyone was professional, knowledgable and courteous. Carla the lead installer was amazing! So talented and respectful... a pleasure to work with.

My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. My closet was installed 10/15/25, and yet today - 12/30/25 - I still don’t have the shelves and cabinet doors that were part of the design and original order. Installation was sloppy, at best. They broke a foyer table and vase, installed materials have dings and missing paint. Toe plates weren’t installed because of air ducts, but no credit was offered. Their “gold” is an ugly brown that is nowhere near gold. There is useless, wasted space in my closet that shows the ineptitude of the designer. After my initial complaint, they sent out a Production and Installation Manager who found two of the four rods were cut too short, explaining why they kept falling. Our closet was starting to get unorganized, so we decided to call Closets by Design. They came out to measure and in under a month, it was installed. Installers were professional, thorough, and efficient throughout the entire process. Now, our closet looks beautifully organized and has truly added more value to our home. We couldn’t be happier with the results -Highly recommend!
