Coles Hardware Inc.

Cole's is a small local chain of hardware stores that have a nice selection of everything that a hardware store should have. Nice knowledgeable people. Beats any big box stores hands down.

Came in today to buy a few things for a project I’m working on. Store wasn’t too busy, and a nice gentleman named Jesse helped me find a thing I was looking for. However when I had gone up to check out, there was a line that was backed up. There was a female employee behind the counter eating donuts and telling people that the only other person running register would take care of them. An entire line of people. Why she couldn’t take care of people is beyond me, and she had a very I don’t care attitude to her. I found it rude. Got checked out finally and left. Came back a bit later and said employee was too busy playing with another customers dog to help me. I found another employee in one of the aisles who was putting stuff onto a cart I didn’t get his name. He helped me find the stuff I

I shop here every week or more. I have no complaints. The store is tidy and well stocked. The employees are always helpful and polite.

Assistant manager Quinn was demonstrably disrespectful towards me when I attempted to resolve an issue. I will never shop there again because of how I was treated. He was dismissive, arrogant, and completely non-empathetic towards my situation. It is incomprehensible how a person like that gets promoted to a managerial position given their personality and demeanor.

It's nice to have a place like Coles in town.
