Not bad at all, not crowded, unfortunate one slide is closed but it was nice being out there on a Saturday for 3 hours. The kiddie pool could use some cleaning but otherwise it's nice for a base pool
If you have a military ID, Independance Pool is a great way to stay cool this summer. My kids are taking swim lessons and the staff is great.
Pros: snack bar, relatively uncrowded, cheap, they have slides and a kiddie pool. Cons: limited hours, salt water. They offer lap swim and swim lessons for kids. Movie nights are also fun! Make sure you don't bring floaties that are not coast guard approved.
Nice, courteous staff, great environment. They have life guards and floatie to borrow and snacks on deck.
