I found this place because I really believe in supporting small businesses instead of the big box stores. I needed new carpet for the family room and 2 sets of stairs. The place was little hard for me to find because it was inside a building complex. It was not a standalone store. Once inside, the place was much bigger than I anticipated, and it had tons of carpet of samples. Rather than browsing through the carpets, I told Ellie the salesperson what I wanted. She immediately showed me carpet samples that were spot on. I took home 3 samples to see them in my home, and Ellie came over later that day to measure. I purchased the wool carpet the same day. Custom Floor Design was terrific from start to finish. I found them online and did not have high expectations going there. I was wrong. The showroom was bright and very professional. And they had beautiful high end products. Our consultant, Kathy, was knowledgeable and very patient. She spent a long time with us as we were looking for an area rug. We could not decide that day, but went back and Kathy again showed us more. We purchased one outside our comfort zone because of Kathy. She was wonderful. Shipping and install was a dream. I recently used Custom Floor Designs Inc. to replace and install new carpeting purchased for stairs and landing areas and a matching area rug because I had water damage at my home over the winter which ruined the carpeting in these areas of my home. Because the carpeting we had was of custom quality and design and about 10 years old it was difficult to find the same carpeting or something close to what we found Custom Floor Designs online and they were able to provide us with several choices and samples and one in particular which ended up being a pretty close match. I called Custom Floors Design in Stoneham to install carpet in my basement for a playroom. Had a great experience from start to finish. Staff was very helpful and responsive and the install went very smoothly! Contractors were on time and friendly- carpet looks great and it was also affordable. Highly recommend!
