We wanted to build a carriage walk or landing step (the small strip of concrete adjacent to the curb) but because that area belongs to the city, we needed a permit; and in order to get that type of permit, you need a contractor licensed by CDOT (Chicago Department of Transportation) for public way construction. If you have ever tried looking for one, you know there is no such list. I had to email and call concrete contractors asking if they held such a license and whether they would do a project of this size. I was lucky to find Yoakin of D&D, who told me he can apply for the permit (which I’ll have to pay for if the city approves) and quoted me a price for the concrete construction work. Aside from concrete work for homeowners, his company works on projects related to city-owned sidewalk

D&D recently came and did a stamped patio for me. I was more than pleased with the outcome. The job was 1200sq ft and was done in a timely manner as well. Definitely recommended these guys for any of your backyard needs if you want to make your friends and family jealous!

unbelievable how bad experience I had with D&D concrete! Never ever! We had a deadline to finish one project and I called Yoakin, he promised he can take care of it and I don't need to worry about our schedule. End of the day he never send workers and until now he never picked up the phone. This person just disappeared. Omg, that was a very stressful situation. Because of this not responsibilities person almost we lost contract for over 300K. Please be aware of who you dealing with!

I'm a Chicago builder with 20 years experience. I've worked with many, many contractors and D&D is one of my best subs, been working together almost 10 years. They are the only crew I can trust with complicated projects like underpins. Every guy on the crew has a great attitude and is incredibly hard working. The foundation of a building is the most important part, you can't mess that up, you need to work with a professional crew like D&D.

Gabriel came to see a job site 2 weeks ago, tried to chase him down for so many time, responds when ever he wants. Then when he does, keeps saying he’ll send estimate, no estimate still. Very unprofessional
