Decorator Carpets, Inc.

We have supported Decorator Carpets for over 30 years in our homes and have recommended them to others as the only place to go for flooring and carpeting. However, we recently had an issue with a piece of flooring moving and asked to have it repaired. I took in a photo and after seeing the small repair, one of the installers quoted us a price to repair it which I agreed upon. After several phone calls to schedule, the elderly gentleman in the office became very nasty when I stated the agreed upon price. "Our computers say it cost $200" is all he kept repeating and became verbally inappropriate. This is not how you treat loyal customers, I will not return to Decorator Carpet any longer, not because of their work quality but because of the rude gentleman in the office.

We are very happy with our carpet for our nursery and new kitchen floor! Everything went smoothly from the estimate to installation. We will be using decorator carpets for all of our needs going forward! We have been BURNED in the past from Home Depot…decorator carpets made home improvements easy and the completed work is perfect!

I purchased a Congolium tile floor from Decorator Carpets about six years ago that has not worn well. In February, I spoke with the owner, Mario, who said they received several complaints about the product, they stopped carrying it, and it has since been discontinued. Although out of warranty, he agreed to replace five tiles with extra ones I had from the original install. He also was going to re-stretch some areas of carpet they had installed. That would have been a good gesture for customer satisfaction. Mario said he would call in a couple of weeks to set up the work. He never called. That was three months ago. Wow! These guys are a small company and they really care about the quality of work. I had a great experience the carpet job was flawless. 😊

They were initially good at coming in for quotes and for completing the jobs in a timely manner. They were NOT good in returning calls or correcting mistakes when I had an issue. I was told that they would "get back to me" 5 times over a period of months with no response. I now have a hole in my flooring that is not even a year and a half old. (March 22, 2019): I have since amended my review as Decorator Carpets have resolved my flooring issue and looks fabulous!
