I decided to build my own house and had a basic layout in mind. John at Design Depot came highly recommended as a designer. I took my ideas to John and he created the plans and prints for the house. (I have never built a house before.) My building style was a bit unorthodox, but John was able to furnish me with the design and prints in a timely fashion. I took the plans to the county building code office and got them approved with no changes needed in just 4 days. John took time to explain the building process to me as well as answering questions I had. His service continued beyond the finished prints. I would use John for any of my future projects and recommend him to anybody in need of a building designer.

Extremely disappointed with John Kittles work. After a down payment it took months to get our preliminary drawings after being promised that it would only be 2 weeks. And he said he would draw up a kitchen remodel that we are wanting to do and we still have not received that, i doubt we ever will as it has been 6 months. The finals for our addition seemed fine, but now that the project has started we have had many issues. One being that the trusses heel height is incorrect. When I contacted John to track down the issue he proceeded to blame us and said it was all on us, after we hired him to do the job. Then he proceeded to go after my wife and our marriage which was extremely unprofessional and not called for in any situation. He then continued to never use my name, only yell mo***r f****

John has been excellent in the whole process. He sat down with me and sketched what I wanted for a design and sent it to me. Couldn't believe John came up with exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend him you won't be disappointed! Thanks so much John.

Do not trust John Kittle with business. We were supposed to get preliminary drawings, we added everything up & we paid him a percentage for the deposit. He took our cash & did not return a single call, text or voicemail for 4 months. When he finally called back he said he just had the “basic floor plan” so far. We asked for our deposit back as we did not get or see anything that he actually did. He stated that we actually owed him more money because the amount for plans was more than he thought but since we were not going to wait anymore he would call it even. I don’t think this is an actual business, but rather a scam he has done multiple times

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! The WORST contractor I’ve ever worked with. After a year John Kittle had not done anything on my project that he’d been given a deposit for. John admitted this during a phone call from me when I called to inquire about his progress. After John told me this I told John that I want my deposit money returned to me. That was at least 3 weeks ago. Now when I call his office my call immediately goes to voicemail. Wish I’d taken the time to read all of the reviews. Bad contractor. Unethical!!!
