Dick's Electric Co

Dick was nice in our conversations with him but had a difficult time with follow through. We made an appointment to get power back to our garage but when the day of the appointment came, no one showed up. We called him and he apologized but said that he was busy working on a much bigger project and he should not have taken this on. He made a referral to someone else but the number he gave was disconnected. Now after waiting for this appointment, we are back to square one trying to find someone else to help with this process.

We've hired Dick's Electric several times and always been impressed with its friendly, professional, responsive service. It's a family operation that has lasted, and it's not hard to understand why. This company operates ethically, too - Dick has told me over the phone how to fix minor electrical issues, when he could have sent out a service person and probably charged a few hundred dollars. Dick's Electric is our first option when we need electrical service or repairs, and will continue to be for a long time.

I’m a home owner looking for service. A tree branch fell on my power line and knocked my power out. I called inquiring about an electrical tech to come to my home to take a look at my power line and give me an estimate on fixing it. The guy who answered the phone continued to talk to me about me paying my bill with We -Energies saying if I didn’t pay my bill my power would be out and I have to call we energies. I’ll just it’s because I’m black since he assumed I didn’t pay my bill. The proper thing to do was to ask me what was the problem. I hate to have to tell someone how to so their own job. FYI I already talked to We-energies In which who suggested I call an electrician.

This guy is unethical. Charged my grandparents $100 to change a broken plug on a range fan and did not have a flashlight or electrical tape. He used an old piece of tape to TRY to keep the new plug together. He left it plugged in with exposed wire. When I called him about his work he threatened to call the city and turn in my grandfather for having a vent fan that was not hard wired. Pathetic.

DO NOT HIRE THEM! I wish I could give him negative stars. First time trying to call him he was horrible trying to talk to him to make an appointment - then STOOD ME UP the next day without even calling. When I did call he make no intent to fix it or make it right. Seriously, the worst experience I have ever received. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
