This place... I am 32 years young, and beginning to chase my dream career. I have wanted to be a commercial diver since I was 16. Let me tell you, in the first 2 weeks, the entire faculty has gone above and beyond to ensure everyone has their needs met. They treat everyone like family, for Thanksgiving they did a special feast for the entire school! They always make sure we're good with the materials, and with a class size of 34 people. (class 112-25 hoora!) They have made sure we all are able to get the best experience out of our next journeys. I want to give a special shout out, and an extra thank you to Lucy my financial aid representative for going above and beyond in helping with my enrollement. As well as fighting for all our extra perks we should have available as an accredited trad

Shout out to Michelle Paulino! (I’ll start there). She is the admissions officer and if you are thinking about commercial diving school and need help getting started with the Q and A...call Michelle! My son attended DIT last year and it was a tough transition. He was only 20 years old and moved 3000 miles away from ALL of his family and friends. He flew out to Seattle, unaccompanied, and I was frantic...barely moderately sane over him leaving home. I called Michelle. And I called her and called her and called her... She checked on my son and made sure my questions were answered. Eventually, the helicopter flew only over my son on Sunday nights when I sent Grub Hub. My son graduated in late January and we set out for a week long road trip of the Pacific Northwest. Two days in, (w

Divers institute is an amazing place to attend. Their staff are highly skilled and genuinely want to help and teach you. Especially Joel duker, Lee, scooter, buzz and Kris. Their facilities and equipment are impressive and very well maintained. Plus the fact that you dive in the lake instead of a tank or pool cannot be understated. The director of the school cares very much and is an incredibly accomplished diver himself. To me you cannot seriously consider this profession without seriously considering D.I.T

Excellent school. Going through DIT I was very impressed with the safety standards set by the instructors, along with the care and constant upkeep and maintenance of all the equipment. Not only did they show interest in your well being and success at the school, there were daily post-meetings with the instructors and they would check in with students to see how they were doing out of school with stuff like living, food, and mental health. There was a lot of dive time and unlimited resources/tutors to help with school work. There were so many job offers a month before our class even graduated. I was able to keep a job to support myself fully while going to school. With my experience at DIT, I wouldn't want to have picked anywhere else to get my training.

Treats its graduates like family members. Eager to help you find your best option. The staff remember you by name despite the hundreds they school each year. The front desk is a vault of knowledge waiting to answer your questions with enthusiasm and genuine care for your career as a commercial diver.
