Shout out to Rachel (service)! She got my desperately needed part during this cold winter. Pushed the supplier, then parts, had a technician work over time to go and get it. Installed it on Friday after 4:00. Kept me updated. All so I would have heat for the weekend. ... 25 yrs downeast energy customer.

Recently had our oil furnace serviced and cleaned by tech Ryan. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. Ryan was also very thorough, focused and professional. And a nice guy, too! This review might sound like it's from a relative or friend, but actually, I had never met Ryan before the day of service. Exemplary individual.

No office open to the public. I’ve been calling for two days and putting my number on cal back only to never receive a call back. I have tenants bills arriving in my name after receiving what was stated as a final bill. This is unacceptable customer service for an energy company.

If I could give a company zero stars I would. Downeast came out to service a furnace and installed a faulty ignitor. Accidents happen I very much understand that. Downeast did a horrible job of communicating during the process and I was unable to give my tenants any updates while they were sitting in the cold. The service manager would not return any of my calls just trying to get an update on the situation. They came and swapped out the part. After telling me there would be no charge on my account because of this mistake I have called the office 4-5 times over the course of 2 months trying to get the $400 charge taken off of my account. I have sent emails and left phone calls that never get returned. Ive spoken with multiple customer service representatives that all say they will message

Unbelievable price gouging with oil cost/automatic delivery! Supervisor never returned my calls when soot completely ruined the paint job on my back deck. Call back never received when I asked for an explanation of what happened with another issue. They increased price on service plan without communication. Seeing other reviews in which they have taken advantage of customers. They also don’t listen to their techs concerns.
