Dr Phillips Locksmith

Charged $225 for 10 seconds worth of work. Called to have them open a small fire safe that we'd lost the key for. Service itself was fine, I appreciated how quickly they were able to come to the house and the technician was very nice and very capable. After 10 seconds of lockpicking, safe was open and he was asking for $225. This would be a 5 star review if the pricing wasn't so appalling. Charging that much for a simple job (that you knew in advance was a simple job) is basically extortion. I never would have authorized this service if they'd given me the price upfront.

Definitely a shady business to deal with. I was quoted one rate ($29 service call + $150 installation) and then charge more ($349). I've tried to call to resolve the issue with Ben but cannot get a return call. I do NOT recommend Dr. Phillips Locksmith and urge caution and to get a quote in writing before doing business with this Dr. Phillips Locksmith. Not a reputable company who cannot respond to a customer inquiry with regard to a billing issue about an overbilling! 12/24 I reached out to Dr. Phillips Locksmith after receiving a reply after one year. I was told a manager would call me back but have not received a call yet. Perhaps I will receive a reply in a year. I just want a refund for the difference that I was quoted and the amount I was overcharged. Dr. Phillips Locksmith

Got quoted a 30 minute wait, over an hour ago and I’m still waiting Finally got here. On the phone I was told it started at $45 dollars This guy was here for about 7 seconds and I got changed $300 dollars… $300 That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Don’t tell people starting price is $45 and some how jump to $300 for 7 seconds worth of work. At that point it would’ve been cheaper for my boyfriend to over night mail me my spare key from home.

Alex was amazing. We got locked inside of our office due to the handle not working. He made it perfectly working the same day again and was very efficient and professional. Truly a lifesaver. I will recommend their services.

We were pleased with how quickly they responded to our request for a rekey on one of our residential doors and how the key made by Dr Phillips Locksmith was working fine. Javier was able to get the job done in less than an hour and didn't charge us any extra for their service other than the agreed-upon initial estimate.
