Zero stars if I could. Fred Driscoll smh I hired Driscoll to repair my fiberglass deck, and it was an absolute nightmare. He comes across as personable at first—what I now realize was just a con artist act. He promised everything I asked for, took over $10,000, and then hired outside contractors to do only half the job I paid for. Worse yet, he intentionally left out critical repairs while claiming the job was “done.” Turns out, he only agreed to pay the subcontractor $700—and never even paid him. I had to track down the subcontractor myself, who confirmed that Driscoll shortchanged him. That same subcontractor, being the professional that Driscoll is not, finished the job at no extra cost to me. I wish I had read the buyer beware review before we contracted with Driscoll Decks for our screened in porch and upper deck fiberglass job in 2015. The owner is knowledgeable and we felt he was trustworthy. However, there were problems: The fiberglass deck started leaking two years after he finished the work and when we called him to ask him patch the cracks, he refused. The leak has caused damage to the ceiling below the deck and now we have a much bigger problem and Driscoll decks assumed no responsibility for their work. A fiberglass deck should last longer than two years. He did a nice job rebuilding our screened in porch but when we asked for a wood door, he put the absolute cheapest ($25) wood door on the deck which did not even last a year.
