Edwards Electrical

I hired Edwards Electrical in May, 2025 for a full home rewire and paid a $2,600 deposit up front. Three months later, the job was incomplete. Work was started but barely progressed, and communication became inconsistent and evasive. After contacting the city, I discovered that Shawn Edward's license had expired before he even accepted the job(April,2025). He later hinted at using someone else’s license to pull the permit, which is deceptive and illegal. This experience has been stressful, costly, and a complete waste of time. I’ve reported the contractor to the NC state licensing board and filed a claim to recover my deposit. Ended up having to hire another electrician to finish the job. I strongly recommend avoiding Edwards Electrical.

I have used Edwards electric before about 4 years ago. They installed 2 ceiling fans, 2 motion outdoor lights with a switch that can turn them on and off as well, outside electric outlet for pool pump, hot tub hook up and numerous indoor outlets. I was extremely satisfied with the work. The prices were unbeatable, very punctual, and amazing customer service. When I bought my new house and had a pool installed I called Edwards Electric again. Once again, they did not disappoint again. Great communication, easy payment options, and great work. I highly recommend them as I have used them twice and just as happy the second time as the first.

Seriously, Sean Edwards is an amazing person and electrician. I've used him several times for small and large jobs and he always comes through with excellent service for a reasonable price. Couldn't recommend someone more, and that's coming from someone with high expectations.

I am new to town and I was having a hard time finding any electrician that would respond in a reasonable amount of time for a residential job quote. Sean from Edwards electrical solved that problem. He was very responsive, professional, set up a quality installation and repair job, and all at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them!
