Because of the long planning window, we did change our minds on a few items, which understandably required updates to the estimate. However, the charges later presented exceeded what had previously been communicated and reflected services that were already itemized in earlier estimates, with their costs clearly shown. After pickup, we were sent revised estimates that added significant costs for services that were already rolled into prior quotes, and payment was requested prior to delivery. I had an outstanding experience with Raymond and Kimberly from EE Ward Moving Co, from start to finish! The Raymond was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain every detail, making the process smooth and stress free. We were a little afraid of using a large moving company for our cross country move. The previous moving company (who we had pack us) broke several items. More troubling, they lost several boxes and we ended up with someone else’s box spring! Our experience with E.E. Ward was completely different. Kim, the move coordinator, was with us every step of the way. Daniel, who drove the truck, showed up on time. He talked to me about the route they were taking, the stops they would make along the way, and the approximate date of delivery. The delivery was delayed by a day because of mechanical issues, but still well within the contracted date range. Daniel called to provide updates of the status of the repair. We hired E.E. Ward for a cross-country move and paid extra for professional packing. Unfortunately, the packing quality was extremely poor and resulted in damage to multiple items. My grandmother’s china was packed with no paper between the dishes, and my high-end shoes and bags were not boxed/wrapped as the estimator promised, which led to damage from lack of protection and care. After the move, I filed an insurance claim for the damages and the claim was denied. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company—especially if you have fragile or high-value items. We paid a premium price and did not receive premium service or accountability.

Our first out-of-state moving experience was nothing short of amazing! Totally professional, yet completely with a personal touch. Kim, Ray and Charles took extreme care to make sure all our needs were addressed and absolutely nothing was damaged and they made sure we were accommodated in every way. Would highly recommend E.E.
