$700 for 1 chain he said I needed 2. Then it was my pullies and cables were shot. $150 x 4 cable was $300 x 2. Then he didn't like the soul d of the motor and wanted another $2000 and told me my house could burn down if he didn't change. Then if I paid with a card he would charge me 3% more. I did not get the motor. I was totally disgusted by then. Update when I call them they claim I have the wrong number yet that was the number I called for service.

Positive: work was done professionally. Negative: 1) Charged an additional fee for credit card - illegal in Connecticut. 2) Wanted me to pay him a check made out his his name, not the name of the company. 3) Prices for parts were way overpriced, an example was $500 for springs 4) Upsold parts claiming that every part was a safety hazard. 5) Credit card charge was to someone other than Effan Garage Door Repair. 6) I am unclear if CT sales tax was charged.

Effan Garage Doors did an amazing job. They came out 45 min after I called and was so quick with the repairs. He replaced two springs on my garage door and had it working in no time. I also had him come back to install a new opener and he was here right on time and had everything up and running in an hour and a half. The pricing was also great. I will defiantly be referring all family, friends and clients to Effan Garage Doors.

They came out and assessed my garage and were ready with the quality parts to repair my garage door. They were quick efficient and after checking around had a fair and competitive price. I would recommend them if you have any issues with your garage door!

I needed garage door maintenance before winter and got a full inspection plus lubrication service. They adjusted the springs, tightened bolts, and made small improvements. Affordable and proactive. Worth every penny.
