I scheduled plumbing services with Essential Plumbing Service Mr. Eddy, the technician, arrived at my apt on 9/15/25 a little after 11:00 AM. He gave me a quote of $816 plus tax for replacing four shutoff valves (two in the kitchen, two in the bathroom) and installing a pedestal sink in the bathroom. The water had already been shut off by the building’s Super, and the shutoff valves were easily accessible. Mr. Eddy replaced the four threaded shutoff valves, which took less than 30 minutes and without difficulty. However, Mr. Eddy informed me that he could not complete the pedestal sink installation as agreed, citing that he had another appointment. Despite this, I was still charged the full quoted amount of $884.34, which included the installation of the sink that was never completed. M

Eddy and team were a dream to work with. Eddy was here within minutes of my call when my hot water heater started leaking. From my initial call to finish time I had a brand new one installed in 2.5hrs. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer team! So thankful I found them. Pricing was reasonable. Highly recommend!

We asked essential plumbing for annual oil boiler maintenance service (tune up), they came and changed a nozzle and did some other services and charged $313.20 for about one hour job. After they left, we were not able to use our boiler anymore, since it keeps shutting off and no longer heat up water. They came three times afterwards, and they were able to turn on the boiler but after they left, the boiler stopped working. Mind you, the boiler was perfectly fine, the only purpose we hired them was to do boiler tune up. Since they were not able to fix the issue, the started to blame us for not having enough oil in the tank (we just filled it full), and the chimney was clogged (we just hired people to come to clean it the same week). Eddie came the same day when we called about the toilet running and shut-off valve wouldn't work. He gave us an estimate and completed the work the same day. He was friendly, helpful, very professional and his work was done without leaving a mess. We used this company once before, with the same excellent results, and will call them again whenever we need a plumber.
