Exeter Glass

Needed to replace two picture window inserts. Contacted businesses which had favorable reviews (Granite State Glass and Premier Glass) for quotes. Both came back with extremely high quotes. Steve (owner) of Exeter Glass many years back had done window insert replacements on my home when his shop was located close to where I lived. I initially didn’t consider him as I thought his new location might be too far to come out and look at the job. This should have been my first move. His pricing was over $500 less than the other vendors. Steve admits that pricing for raw materials and labor is up, but he was by far head and shoulders better than the other vendors. Steve from Exeter glass was very knowledgeable, professional and very aware of me being a perfectionist. I don't have a big fancy house but Steve treated me like I did, he took his shoes off at the door before he walked upstairs, I really liked that. He measured and installed the door to perfection. We had our bath redone and Exeter Glass installed it all, no issue. Over time we noticed the door needed a small adjustment. I called Steve, he was over in 1 day, fixed it and there was no charge. THAT is service and will be going back when do we do our other bathroom.

We had a horrible experience with Exeter Glass. The shower door they installed leaked all over our new bathroom. Their first impulse was to blame everyone else. As it turned out, there was a defect in the tub, which the manufacturer, Aker, fixed at a cost of over $1,000 to themselves. But it turned out that the tub was not the real problem. First, the door was not fitted tightly enough to the glass, leaving a gap. When Exeter Glass came back to replace the door after the tub got refinished, they closed that gap. But the shower still leaked. Exeter glass did not know what to do. I had to go on the web and find the solution, which was a metal bar which they eventually affixed to the tub by the door. I highly recommend this company. Their pricing is reasonable and Steve was very responsive and did exactly as he said he would do within the promised timeframe. I've been very happy with his workmanship and quality. Always get a quote from this company before going with a more expensive alternative!
