Federal Companies - Normal/Bloomington IL Movers

This was our first time moving with professional movers so we were not sure what to expect. Mark came to the house for the estimate and explained how it would work and what to expect. He answered all our questions and gave us his direct phone to reach him if we had any other questions or concerns. On moving day, Shane and his crew showed up on time and made quick work of packing our furniture and loading the truck. He worked around our schedule for delivery. He and his crew arrived on time for delivery and had everything unloaded quickly. Everyone was very polite and everything arrived safely.

We moved from Decatur IL to Fulshear TX last week. I am extremely happy that we chose Federal for our moving. The driver and the movers were really awesome! Nothing was broken or lost after moving from 1000 miles away! They worked hard and were courteous and professional. They really knew what they were doing and doing efficiently. The moving advisor and moving coordinator were also very responsive and took care of everything in a timely manner. I strongly recommend Federal to anyone who plans to move.

Decent place to make deliveries. Dock staff work hard, even when it's 90-plus outside. Unloading done with a hand truck, so it is a little bit slower than normal. The southernmost of the two spaces is tight to get into, guide on your left side to avoid the post.

Allied movers are professional, knowledgeable, and well trained. (Allied had packed and moved my family members cross country years ago, so they were my first call when I needed antiques moved into storage.) The team moved several of my heavy antiques, including an antique grand piano. They were trained on how to remove the legs and wrapped all pieces with care. I was very impressed with the time and attention they placed into the move. I highly recommend Allied.

I deal with shipping and receiving here. Never a problem. First in First out. You line up down the side of the building. Lots of room to turn around in back. Could use some lights for safety on the dock as it is inside and you are backing in from outside. Guys inside work very hard to load and unload.
