First Avenue Garage

The First Avenue Garage is one of the most convenient places to park in Pittsburgh, especially if you’re commuting downtown. It connects directly to the First Avenue T/Subway Station, which provides free rides into the downtown area—a major plus. There’s plenty of parking, including 17 free EV charging spots, and the new ticketing system makes things much easier since you can now pay for parking right from your phone. That said, there are a few downsides. The daily rate is now $13, and it keeps creeping up each year. It’s becoming harder to justify the cost when downtown activity has slowed so much outside of the courts and government offices. Reasonably priced option for event parking. You can take the T right to the stadium. It was super busy to take it back after the game so we just walked. It's a bit of a walk but we enjoy walking so we were fine with it.

5 STARS for the Garage was nice and clean 3 STARS for: The trains are so old and move 2 miles an hour around the corners. I'm sure with the cost of parking the trains and tracks could be upgraded. The train does not have a large seating capacity.

Free charging for EV. Nice facilities with subway stop right next to it. Very convenient! Tough to get out during rush hour.
