A Heartfelt Thank You to Freedom Flood On August 28, 2024, our home in Canton, Texas, was severely damaged by a tornado. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the destruction to our house was significant. To make matters worse, over an inch of rain fell shortly after the storm, pouring into our home through the torn-away roof. The next morning, I contacted Freedom Flood. They responded immediately, dispatching a crew to assess the damage and install tarps over the exposed areas. From the very beginning, Mellissa and James—the owners—were incredibly attentive and compassionate. Until you experience something like this, it’s hard to understand how vulnerable it feels to have strangers in your home, handling your personal belongings. But Mellissa, James and their team quickly earned our trust.

James and Melissa showed up within 30 minutes of our initial call. 75 gallons of aquarium water had leaked into 3 rooms and soaked hardwood floors, carpet, furniture and countless other items. After a quick assessment they collected necessary equipment and had it set up and working within the hour. They began the process of documenting in great detail the extent of the damage that was crucial to support the insurance claim. The following days saw Freedom coordinating on-site storage pod delivery, packout and storage of all salvageable items and disposal of all damaged items. Carpet, padding, oak flooring, subfloor, sheetrock, trim and about 3000 pounds of rock around the fireplace were all removed and disposed of by Freedom. Had a leak in bathroom that messed up wood floors along with saturated my walls. Plumber referred me to Freedom Flood and they were out here the following day. They packed up and moved everything in the areas they needed to get to, had flooring and baseboards pulled up along with walls cut out that had gotten wet all in one day. Melissa and James walked us through the whole process with insurance company as well as referred a contractor to us that they know will do a good job. After having something like this happen, the last thing you want to have to deal with is finding the right company to handle your needs. I would refer Freedom Flood to anyone in the future!! Very pleased with the work they did and how clean they kept the areas while they were working! Very professional!!

Responsive when called! High integrity. They provide pro analysis of water damage and proper equipment to get the work done. They handled billing to insurance. Brought a good team to pack and move furnishings out during dryout. Returned with a good team to place the furnishings back. This is the high level that all workers and service companies need to attain in their work AND communication. Super recommend.
