FreeZoneRVA replaced my HVAC system 11 months ago, but I just discovered they never finished the job properly. Instead of adhering to industry standards of securing the new unit with straps and sealant, they cut corners and taped the old duct to the new system. I only found out when, seven months pregnant, I realized both sides of the duct had come loose — losing energy efficiency for nearly a year and sucking harmful insulation from the attic into the airflow. They came back to fix it and did what should’ve been done the first time — gluing and strapping the duct correctly — but refused any compensation for nearly a year of lost efficiency (and lost peace of mind due to inhaling insulation while pregnant). Not only was it affordable, Chris also explained the problem, showed me how to resolve the issue, and even offered to bring parts if I needed an emergency fix in the future. Chris was so friendly kind and helpful. He checked out the problem first to see if he could fix it even though I called them to get a quote for a new unit. After the problem couldn’t be resolved, we then got to the great quote and finance option. Though we went another direction for the install, this is the kind of service I will always remember and refer others to.
