Friedman's Home Improvement Sonoma

I've been shopping Friedman Bros since the 80's. While I do acknowledge that I've also had the rare less then satisfactory customer service experience my general overall experience has been that staff are usually super helpful and welcoming. I have definitely escalated poor experiences to management right away and find that they are receptive and caring. I find that they generally have good quality lumber and in the 20' lengths not always available at competitors. If I need something very specific or in larger quantities, I like to visit the Petaluma or Santa Rosa locations for maximum selection and availability. I appreciate that Friedman upgraded their PoS and web site in recent years, it has improved my experience in store and online.

I have never met a store with more employees ready and willing to help out. You can't look confused for five seconds before someone will find you and offer to help. And every single one of them knows every item in every aisle. I'm a new homeowner and have no idea what I'm doing but these employees make it so easy. I cannot recommend this store enough. 10/5 stars.

Bought a can of wood Bondo from the store didn't end up needing it. I paid cash for it. I had the receipt. I was informed that they couldn't give me a refund. Unless I paid with a card. They can give me store credit. Too bad I don't live in this town and I'm just here on a job site so it would be useless. honestly it's just bad customer service when somebody has a receipt to refuse to give him a refund. Over $25 bucks. Honestly what is the point of giving me a receipt?

I'm always able to figure out and find exactly what I want and 99% of the time they have it as long as you're in season. Actually the only place I go in town cuz it's the best place to go in town
