My experience with Eric Best and Genesis Concrete By Design was a horrible experience. He required a 50 percent down payment and only did the demolition. It took numerous phone calls, mostly unanswered and text to get him to show up for that . Everyday he would promise to show up the next day but never showed up. He agreed to complete the work in 4 days but after nearly a month of no shows I had to hire someone else. He did not honor the written contract or his word. I have asked for my deposit of a couple thousand dollars to be returned. Instead he swears he will be there tomorrow. The demo job he did took maybe 3 hours and he left the yard dug up and unlevel creating a hazard for the tenant. He also tore up part of the street that we have to repair. Number One in our book, wife and I love our driveway and new garage. Not sure about other negative reviews but Eric and his crew were very knowledgeable and ahead of schedule. Tim GCBD superintendent was very polite and respectful.

I wish I could have give this company a zero star but it wasn’t an option. The 2 week job has turned into a 7 month nightmare and it still hasn’t been completed. We were lied to by saying crews were coming to do the job and they didn’t show up on multiple occasions, we were lied to saying our permit had been secured and it had not. My husband had to get the permit and the county inspector wouldn’t pass it because they work which was completed did not meet county code. Our front porch was just rebar and wood and I couldn’t even go out the front door. We have asked for our money back numerous times minus the wood, rebar, plastic and salary for the first crew and we have not received a dime! From our experience I cannot recommend this company!

Eric failed to return phone calls in a mannerly time, failed to answer phone calls, failed to communicate properly and effectively as a business owner, failed to come close to what our orginal quote was. I hope that anyone looking to do business with this man should please heed my warning and find someone else. This was a headache and nightmare from day one to the last day he was at my house. 100%

Genesis Concrete by Design has made me into a loyal customer. Not only did they provide the stamped concrete design that I needed done but they also worked with me to find ways to make it affordable to fit my budget. I would recommend GCBD to anyone needing any type of concrete work done. You will not be disappointed!
