Georgetown Carpet Wholeseller

Don’t go here unless you want to smell like cigarette smoke. We walked in and walked out because the store smelled like mold and cigarette smoke. There were trash cans around the store catching water dripping from the ceiling. Too bad because it was a real convenient location with parking.

Went here to try and look for carpet for my steps, and had to leave because it smells SO strongly of cigarette smoke. Avoid.

Didn't turn up on the day. Then turned up late on a rearranged day. no apologies or explanations. Shoddy fitting service. No acknowledgement that there were problems with the fitting. Instead blamed the stairs for not being straight. I'm not an expert but I think you are supposed to fit a carpet to the stairs, not the other way around. Not an experience I would recommend.

About five years ago, Georgetown Carpet installed carpet in two of our rooms. Everything went reasonably smoothly. This week, everything went bad. We asked Georgetown Carpet to visit our home to repair some very minor damage to the carpet. They were pleasant and agreed to do so, but then said it was "$300 minimum" for them to come (despite that the repair would probably take 30-45 minutes). We reluctantly agreed because we wanted the work done. They didn't show up; we called and they said they were "backed up" and they'd be there later in the day and promised to call before arriving. They never called or showed up (again). That's inexcusable and no way to treat a customer, especially a repeat customer. If i could give 0 stars I would. I came in with every intention to purchase at least 1 carpet but was hoping that they had some type of system where they can donate old carpets that no one would purchase and was met with a hard no. I represent an elementary school that is in need of carpets for classrooms. I came hoping that I could at least get a deal but I guess theres no such thing as donations for children who need these resources for school especially if your donating some relic that no one wants to buy. Kind of messed up. I see that this establishment doesn’t believe in helping to provide an amazing educational experience for students that are lacking resources. Thanks for nothing basically.
