Excellent view of what Burnside's troops were up against when trying to storm the bridge. Fascinating to think what the Confederate troops defending the south end of the Confederate line were thinking.
Great place to visit. The loss of Federal and Confederate soldiers is staggering. Visit the area if you can, also go to Harpers Ferry and South Mountain.
Loved it. Just wish we could understand that the war was 100% all Americans on both sides!
