Greystone Construction worked with us to design and build our new home. We have lived in the Lancaster area for 35 years and were familiar with Greystone’s excellent reputation for quality workmanship. Through each step of the process they were knowledgeable, accommodating and professional. Greystone’s “basic” home is way above the ordinary, including custom cabinetry and millwork as well as granite countertops throughout. Their subcontractors were pleasant to work with even when we made last minute design changes. The entire project came in on time and on budget. This is the third house we’ve built and the best experience yet. We highly recommend Greystone Construction if you want a unique and beautiful home.

I work in the neighborhood where many luxury homes were built by this contractor. I'm appalled that such shoddy (being the operative word) work hasn't yet been exposed as nothing short of scandalous. Failure involving the structural foundation saddling homeowner with costs of hundreds of thousands to repair to a home that's less than 20 years old with initial selling price of 500,000 thousand and upwards is completely unacceptable and the lack of accountability is appalling. I'll be writing our current Representative Lloyd Smucker who before running for office had been head of a contracting company Smucker Co. who appears to stand behind his integrity and hope that laws will be past so that builders do the right thing.

Please heed my warning, do not do business with this company, the owner is a charming fellow full of smiles and compliments who will ghost you once he has your money. We built a home that cost us $1,200,000 , it began with an estimate of $900,000, ( yeah right). Up charges were ridiculous and allowances were miniscule. Get ready for a bonanza of excuses, no return calls and ultimate frustration. Not hearing back from him for 2 weeks was not unusual, going to the building site in the early afternoon (2 to 3 pm ) and not seeing a soul working on the house, not unusual, just the sound of crickets, the framers ( Amish) did a great job, but after they left, ouch!!! Don't walk away, run away and save yourself a ton of grief. We sold the home after a year, it just had too many bad memories, o
