H Matthie Repairs

Awesome experience all around! My old Kenmore was having some funky problems that I wasn’t able to troubleshoot at home and Mr. Matthie had it back to me in two business days, cleaned, oiled, and running perfectly. He even replaced the lightbulb! Excellent service, and though I can’t say I know for sure what sewing machine repairs are running these days cost-wise, the price felt more than fair. An added plus: Mr. Matthie is a joy to speak with! 10/10, definitely head here next time you need a repair or advice on keeping your old machine running smoothly.

I had a great experience at H Matthie Repairs! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and was very generous with his time. I brought in a Singer 201 from the 1940s that made a whirring noice with no movement of the needle. 2 weeks later, I have a fully working machine! This is your sign to fix the broken thing rather than buying brand new. I have a workhorse now that I plan to keep for many years thanks to H Matthie Repairs. Pricing was super fair just make sure to bring $30 cash for a deposit up front and call ahead for his hours. I am grateful for all the good information the owner told me such as unique things about my model (I purchased it second hand at a rummage sale and didn't know too much about it), caring for the machine, and history of sewing machines in general. I brought this family heirloom, a Damascus Electric made in 1920, into Mr Matthie’s shop on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Within two days, Mr. Matthie called me to say it was ready for pickup. He cleaned and rewired the sewing machine and repaired the motor. I’m so grateful repair people like him still exist! I highly recommend Mr Matthie!

I got my old singer sewing machine fixed here. He was super nice and very good at his job. 10/10 go to him for a repair, don’t buy a new machine!! He only takes cash and check, but there’s an ATM across the street.
