Hall of The States Garage

This was a great location for when we had a scheduled visit to the US Capitol. We were vacationing and were concerned about getting around DC, but we didn't find the area to be confusing. It's near the Capitol, Senate Park, and the metro terminal. Overall, it's a great location. The building happens to be the NBC building, and there are signs on the exterior of the building.

Paid for in and out parking so I could come and go when I needed. Went to re-enter and the attendant told me "nope, you have to pay again." When I showed him my parking pass and that I paid extra for "in and out" services he looked at me and said "shhh, that's a secret, people don't know that." Not sure if dude needed training or it was shadiness or what but at any rate it was a messy situation.

We had a little trouble finding where to leave the garage after parking. Other than that it was a great place to park on a Sunday. The parking attendant was very helpful and friendly!

Modern spacious parking garage. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location - 5 minutes walk to Capitol, 7 minutes to Union station, 10 minutes to National Art Gallery. Very competitive rates. I parked there for a weekend stay at Hyatt Regency across the street, and it cost me $11 a day vs $62 daily rate at Hyatt itself. Once parked the car can't be moved in and out, but you'll have access to it, maybe except late night (haven't tried it). Can easily be reserved online in advance via SpotHero (AKA ParkingPanda). That's what I did, since parking availability during a weekend is unpredictable. Once in, make sure not to park in a reserved spots - they are clearly marked.

It is a little tight for a larger car but there was always a parking space and the fare wasn't as expensive as other parking garages. It is also at a really great location to where it is walkable to the capital and very close to union station to where you can go anywhere from there.
