Hatton Parking Garage

Parking system is awful. We parked for under 2 hours, used the QR code, total was $0.00 on the web page which was correct. We immediately drove 3 levels down to exit, and the machine asked for $3. There was a line of cars behind us and no attendant, so we had no choice but to tap a credit card. The payment system needs to provide a reasonable grace period for people exit the garage!!

New payment system is confusing - the first 2 hours of parking is free. But it’s not clear you have to scan the QR code before exiting even if you’ve stayed for less than 2 hours. The exit gate wasn’t able to scan the license plate either which caused delay. You have to call the help line for someone to open the gate. There was a long line to exit, and some cars before us were stopped at the gate for some time, I’m assuming for the same issue. At the other parking garages in Valley Fair, I’ve gotten the little parking slips while entering the garage. And when exiting, if it was less than 2 hours, the exit gates were able to scan the plates and we would leave without any issue, so I didn’t even need the little parking slips. I was doing a balloon setup at Suspiro restaurant. I got into the parking garage easy and found a good parking spot. I was there less than 2 hours, so it would be free to park. I scanned the qr code as the signs tell you to do. However, I only received error messages. I tried at least 10 times I also looked for an attendant, but no luck. I needed to leave, so I went to the exit and had to press the call button. Now, a line begins to form behind me. I explained what happened, and He said, "Where's my ticket? There are no tickets at this garage. He finally realized that and said your right there are no tickets at that garage. He took a bunch of information from me and opened the gate. I felt really bad for holding up the line. I also told the attendant I would be coming back tonight to pick

Only payment option other than at the exit gate is through QR code, but there’s no reception inside the garage. The entrance crosses the exit so there’s always traffic getting out, plus the gate is very often stuck or just not loading. Expect. 10-20minutes just to get out, if you’re lucky.

Hi, could you please add a reminder to let people know that even if they park for less than 2 hours, they still need to scan the QR code and complete the process. I initially thought the gate would open automatically for stays under 2 hours and that no payment was needed. However, I ended up waiting a long time because several people were stuck at the exit—there was no ticket, no QR code scanned earlier, and they couldn’t pay. One solution is to press the help button and wait for an assistant, but a clear reminder upfront could save everyone time and confusion.
