Hayward BART Parking Garage

the bart police who patrol the garage will harass you if you’re sitting in your car. for the outside parking, i had one strobe light inside my car repeatedly and for an excessive amount of time at night. recently in the morning time, i parked in the garage for a few minutes before he pulled up next to me, staring me down inside my car, and then parked right across from me.

Be careful with their parking, signs are very confusing. I parked in a spot where it says permit and fee and the lane I was exactly parked doesn't have any sign on it but it was beside the permit and fee lane. I paid for the $3 parking which is nice because it's cheap, but the moment I came back I GOT A TICKET! That's my first time to park at that spot because the parking was full already and I got a ticket. They should atleast make their signage clearer on which lane is for the fee and which one is for the permit. I am a student and $75 is a big thing for me and it's really a burden to pay for it when violating wasn't really my intention at all.

Be aware that Vandalism has become a problem here, but I have noticed more Bart police presence has started. The outside parking area seems a bit safer than the garage area.

Beware of vandalism. My car had its gas tank drilled to steal gas. Very expensive repair and no stock of parts.
