Hennepin County Parking Garage

With a very long line behind me, I pull up on day one to leave and only there at the window is the first notification that they only take cash, which I don't have enough of having been at jury duty all day. There's no way to back out write a check or anything else. No notification earlier than when you're at the window. That continued for at least 5 days. I spoke with other jurors and they had observed the same and had trouble with it. A simple notice upon entering would help. I would further add that at no point when I entered the courthouse went through security and went through the entire jury process was I ever asked for ID. Wow!

It's a self serve parking garage so not a lot to talk about. Prices are pretty average. They do have an app so you don't have to use the payment system at the exit. That's actually pretty convenient. While I was there I did see a custodian cleaning the elevator area. Kudos to you for doing that job on a super cold day. There were some barriers and/or signage that was a little confusing and as always any closure to parts of the ramp gives way to inconvenience. That's why the 4 star rating rather than 5.

The most expensive place to park. $35 for 2 hours

Don’t confuse this County garage with the one next to the new City Public Service Center building that has a very similar name. This one is owned by the County and is under the building. It has very good rates for short term daily parking, is clean, well lit and the elevators are cleaned regularly.

Ordinary. Had an instance when, upon entering, the gate didn't lower after the person in front of me, the machine wouldn't give me a ticket, and no one answered the callbox (about 2pm on a Thursday). Left 3 hours later, tried to ask the attendant (at the exit, only) what to do, and they basically said I should've just sat at the entrance and waited, then tried to charge me $40 for a ticket I couldn't get. Will wait at the entrance next time, but I wonder what the line of cars behind me spilling out onto the street will think.
