I felt obligated o to write a review after casually seeing the couple of negative reviews posted. I have used Holly’s consistently for 7 years. At first because during the height of oil prices at $3.69/gal they were willing to deliver 100 gal. I feel for the guy who had a oil overflow. I’ve had that myself where the company used the wrong pipe and basically created a Hazmat situation in my basement – but it was another company entirely and they were pretty unsympathetic to my horror. I think in short most oil companies are ill equipped to handle oil spills and that is a problem. But in the 7 years at 3 or 4 deliveries a month during the coldest months Holly’s has delivered consistently on the days I’ve asked for. I love that they give a volume discount for over 150 gals. On 6/18/2014 I paid for 100 gallons of oil that was never delivered. The tank was not empty before the supposed delivery. I had between 1/8 and 1/4 a tank on the gauge. I did not look at the tank for 10 days (in the summer) I notified the owner as soon as I noticed the gauge was lower than before the delivery. I had a licensed furnace technician verify that my gauge is not broken and I have 9 inches of oil in a tank that is 45 inches deep. Possibly 50 gallons. It is a 275 gallon tank. They insist that I received the oil. When the kid came back to check my tank for them the first thing he said was"I have never been here before". I showed him the receipt and he said it was his. He tried to to check the oil level with a tree limb that he found in my backyard. I believe that I was targe

I am extremely disturbed by the owner, Ralph Leo's, behavior. Ralph is the owner of Holly's oil in Biddeford. After being an autofill customer for 4+ years, and always paying timely, Holly's almost allowed us to run out of oil, on Thanksgiving 2018 (we had 4 gallons to spare in a 4-unit apartment building). I had had enough, and decided to leave Holly's and switch to Fieldings Oil, on 12/11/18. Since that time, Ralph Leo has called and emailed me, harassing me verbally and in text, and is still trying to deliver us oil! He actually did make a delivery on 12/26/18, after I told him we are no longer using his services. He keeps citing a bogus contract that doesn't exist. I do not recommend using Holly's services, in any circumstances.

Holly's delivered a full tank of heating oil to my home. The inexperienced driver filled the tank and also spilled 4-5 gallons in our finished basement and the driveway. They made a half hearted attempt to clean it up over the course of 2 days. Ultimately, it cost us $6,000 to have the cleanup done properly and several weeks of constant daily effort. That was in November of 2013. There is still a hint of oil smell in our home. In addition, Holly's has refused to take any responsibility for this mess and continues to ignor my requests to provide me with an invoice from that day. I would NEVER use nor would I ever recommend Holly's Heating Oil out of Westbrook and Biddeford Maine to anyone. No deliver , no Return phone calls, take the phone off the hook til closing time then get answering machine. Driver Noah just showed up over a week late and left a nasty note in my mail box!
