Hometown was willing to do a walkthrough of our plumbing system and found some key areas that needed to be replaced. He didn't recommend unnecessary changes, only the stuff that really mattered. When performing the work, our kitchen faucet's cold connection fell apart. Instead of recommending we purchase a new one, he was able to fix it! His communication was fantastic, and he managed to squeeze us into his busy schedule. I couldn't recommend Hometown enough!

We recently worked with Jim for a full water heater replacement, and he was exceptional from start to finish. He responded quickly, helped us figure out exactly which unit we needed, and stayed communicative throughout the entire process. Jim arrived on time, treated our home with real care, and worked in a way that showed he understood he was in someone’s living space. He was meticulous and thoughtful, and left the area cleaner than when he arrived. He even connected us with an electrician to make the installation smooth and straightforward. I needed my hot water tank replaced and was given Jim’s name as a referral. I don’t usually write reviews but in this case I felt compelled to do so because of the exceptionally positive experience I had. I found Jim to be very responsive, professional and easy to work with. I have high expectations when it comes to vendors because I feel that old fashioned quality workmanship, superior customer service and respectful communication have disappeared to some degree but Jim checked off all the boxes making it a great experience. Hometown Plumbing is fast, professional, clean, and trustworthy! Companies like this is why I prefer to do business locally. We had a water feed leak in our second floor master bathroom that damaged the ceiling underneath. I called on a Friday morning and Jim arrived 3 hours later. He recommended cutting a hole in the ceiling below to see the extent of the water damage and find any hidden leaks. He fixed the problem quickly and professionally and cleaned up everything before he left. I was so impressed that we hired him to come back today to replace the toilet in the master bath and check the water feeds in our other 2 bathrooms. Jim recommended that we replace them as they were starting to show signs of leaking. An ounce of prevention as they say!

I called Hometown Plumbing to diagnose and fix an outdoor spigot that was not working. Jim Tranfaglia responded promptly and gave me an estimate to replace the spigot, which was very reasonable. He arrived when he said he would, texting me a little before to let me know he was on the way. He examined the spigot and immediately diagnosed the issue: the internal valve was off. He opened the valve and then verified that everything was working correctly. He even took the extra time to check on the other spigot outside the house. My reason for giving Jim a five star review is that even though it was a simple fix, he did the following: (1) he diagnosed the issue quickly, verifying the simplest solution before even starting any faucet repair; (2) he then took the time to show me how to find the
