Hoover Dam Observation Deck

It’s a great walking area for wanting to get away for meditation or going for your morning 5K. Those stairs are the locals favorite place at 5am there is always some one there. Very friendly, clean and easy in and out. Boat launches are very nice and well maintained. Rangers are friendly they’re helpful. PortAJohns are on sight for restrooms.

I present the Hoover Dam in Ohio! High winds and chilly temps didn’t stop the adventures. Layers and more layers people!! 😂🤣 My life has been changed forever by wearing a hat. They really do keep the heat in. We watched disc golf being played and it was intense. Definitely were fans and kept quiet while they worked on their form and technique. Did you know that Columbus, Ohio was the first water plant in the WORLD to apply filtration and softening? In 1908, the Columbus Experiment was created. The people involved with this experiment were Clarence and Charles Hoover and Jeremiah O'Shaughnessy. Nice stop on the way to the Westerville or New Albany, not really out of the way. Free to park past the picnic shelters if you are willing to walk a bit. The walkthrough bridge is closed for construction or renovation but you can still enjoy the views from one end. The stairs are quite a climb to get to the viewing area to see upstream. Great piece to explore!

A nice place to see the sunset. There is adequate parking. It's usually pretty busy in the evening and if you walk out on the observation deck there's an awesome view of the reservoir.

This is observation deck from other side of dam which is less visited by most of people due to less parking space and its far from main entrance of this dam. Its not that very clean but fairly ok to visit. Also its near to disc golf course so if you there to play disc golf the best place to view hoover dam from below. There is ramp to go up but I never saw it opened to public in last 2 years.
