Hornsby's Custom Cabinets

The cabinets overall are beautiful. There are several custom touches that I really like. However, the cabinets have never been completely finished. One cabinet was damaged during installation (the installer put a screw through the face trying to install the trash bin rack) and no one ever came to fix the damage. The shelf edges are unfinished, including some open shelves. There was never a mention of hardware installation, so we did that ourselves. Daniel stopped responding to phone calls and messages in September of 2023. We gave up in November. Mostly beautiful cabinets, mostly poor customer service.

I wish there was an option to give zero stars, but one will have to do. We hired (through our contractor) Hornsby's Cabinets in late November. Daniel (I think, the owner?) visited our site and said he could make the cabinets we needed in two weeks and installation would be in December. From that point forward, he continued to bump it out every time my contractor called. Never once did he communicate the delays himself. He continued to make promises to deliver and then would ignore calls and texts from my contractor. Finally, we were able to reach him and once again, he said they would be delayed, but after pressure from my contractor finally promised a Feb. 17 installation. I drove in from Austin to be present for the installation only to discover he bailed the morning of! He even admitted

Daniel is an incredibly talented cabinet maker. His workmanship was excellent. I’m so glad we chose him to design our cabinets. Would highly recommend him
